SESyM students at Hanze UAS apply energy transition research in practice at Fieldlab Hydrogen in Agri

Master’s students from the SESyM programme at Hanze UAS presented the results of their six-week energy analysis conducted for two Fieldlab partners: agricultural contractor Sturm-Jacobs B.V. and flower bulb company Rainbow Colors.

Working in dedicated teams, the students developed detailed energy profiles for each company, mapping energy production and consumption on an hourly basis. Using this data, they assessed the potential for year-round hydrogen production and explored how the hydrogen could best be utilised—whether for on-site use or commercial sale—based on different operational scenarios.
