Hanze Students Explore Innovative Energy Solutions

As part of the REFORMERS Energy Valleys – Horizon Europe project, EUREC and SESyM alumnus Beau Broen, working at New Energy Coalition, organised a site visit for a group of 25 Renewable Energy Master students from Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.

As part of the excursion, Joep Sanderink (NEC) gave a presentation about InVesta Expertise Centrum and REFORMERS. The site visit included a guided tour at InVesta to showcase the current and future energy projects at the site.

During this guided tour, Michiel Spits from DOPS Recycling Technologies bv showcased their Direct Carbon Immobilization (DCI) pilot technology, and Joep Sanderink shortly elaborated on Sustenso’s Photobioreactor (Algae cultivation) and the other outdoor energy innovations (Stationary battery, Stoff2 Electrolyser, HYNOCA, and hydrogen infra).
